The thing is, there is no reason to do anything. These fucks are the first against the wall.

Oh my God, the choice and volume of who has been fired makes so much sense now. I have kept reading how "probationary" employees of the Government have been the target of these firings, but follow up posts talk about long tenured employees who have scored well on yearly evaluations being included in these firings.

Probationary is the Government's way of just labeling *everyone* who has been promoted into a new position. New hires and your regular old promotions. Someone on BlueSky posted the explanation that employees are labeled this way after a promotion because if something doesn't work out, they can reduce the employee to their previous position.

An attack on Canada would cause significant NATO mobilization to North America opening up Ukraine and Eastern Europe to Russia.

Was watching John Oliver last night and he was mean enough to show someone worth having some sympathy and empathy. A poor African Woman who was relying on USAID for her medical care and now has nowhere to go.

I watched that same episode this morning. Elmo seems to be making an case study as to correlating narcism+wealth+autism makes for a toxic reinforcement of assholeism. Usually, just the narcism and wealth are horrible enough, but add in the absolute lack of ability to consider others, and he’s fully and truly toxic to all those around him. It was one thing when it was limited to those who willingly subjected themselves to his lunacy, it’s another when we’re all forced to endure his unconstitutional appointment.

The list of states is actually a bit of a surprise.
 
So we are dumping thousands of people on unemployment daily, Inflation is on the rise and we are purposely causing prices to rise...now I admit I never finished my MBA and I am just a lowly (Economics) teacher but I am pretty sure that is very bad for the economy. Good for oligarchs...but without any real Middle Class the rest of us...

Sad thing is the Dow will stay good because the rich will prop it up buying everything so everyone will pretend it is aok!
