My family member was working in atl last night and said that a military helicopter won’t have ADSb like the planes do, as part of TCAS.
The crj was changed to a much less used runway route quite late, which may have thrown the heli pilot off, and the helicopter pilot could have had visuals on a different crj hence not seeing this one

But that was very early speculation last night after seeing one video

LOL, I figured that out about a day after he first floated that idea. It's the last vast untouched resources on the globe, of course Musk, Their, Zuck, and co want it. Rare earth minerals critical to data, computing, and batteries.

I had a coworker who kept harping on "well, it makes sense for protection from Russia..." and I finally got through to him that it's for the minerals.

Never ceases to amaze me how they are never responsible for anything. I am going to be very curious to find out how this accident happened. All indications to this point seem to point directly at the Army Helicopter. This happened on the drunk rapists watch.

Interesting. And it would make some sense, because I've been reading flight control told the helo to keep an eye on the plane and get behind it, and supposedly the helo said it sees the plane. If it was a different plane he was seeing...

I hate that airport, even though I've hardly ever flown in/out of it. It's always been damn dangerous.

Protection from Russia? Russia can't even beat the Ukraine and they are next door. Russia has zero ability to attack nor would they even want to. They want Europe...attacking us is a Japan/Hitler level mistake.
 
I was watching the press conference this morning and the new Transportation Secretary who was just confirmed yesterday was speaking. And you could tell he had NO IDEA what to do. Stumbling over his words, pausing, etc. Dude, this isn't like the Real World that you were on - that's scripted. Now you're on your own. Do your job!!

Mayor Pete would have been all over this and would have done an excellent job at that press conference.
