Drinking Thread: Three Sheets To The Wind

Re: Drinking Thread: Three Sheets To The Wind

So... if I were to have a couple of bottles of the Raspberry from Schramm’s, would anyone be interested in it?

YOU GOT THE RASPBERRY?!

That was the one I wanted, and they said it was sold out when I put my order in. I won't be greedy. Just would like one bottle.

A benefit for living here... I picked them up at a grocery store. :)

Founders' Backwoods Bastard
Bell's Porter
Perrin 98 Problems IPA

Lindeman's makes a nice Merlot.

Re: Drinking Thread: Three Sheets To The Wind

Us darn millennials are killing Big American Beer.
Maybe I don't want to drink beer flavored water? The last time I drank an American macro was the 2006 CCHA Finals.

Technically for me was last fall when I drank a Goose Island BCS.

Found some Evil Twin BA and Clown Shoes BA stuff today that was new. One of the bombers from ET was aged in Harlan wine bottles. Clerk said Harlan was a big deal, and yeah, looked it up...bottles go for $750 and up (retail). Checked my receipt after seeing that...the ET bomber was $30. And now I know why. Can't wait to try it.

What's killing Big American beer?

Let's see. Too late tonight, but I have plenty of options within a 50 mile drive of me. I could go to Founders, Perrin, Creston Brewing, Mitten Brewing in Grand Rapids (MI) at least, I could go to downtown Holland and go to Our Brewing, Big Lake Brewing, or New Holland Brewing, and Bell's (Kalamazoo) and Arcadia Ales (Battle Creek) are within an hour drive.

Re: Drinking Thread: Three Sheets To The Wind

The cork in my Macallan scotch broke off clean with the top of the bottle. :-/

Re: Drinking Thread: Three Sheets To The Wind

Or get a corkscrew :). Just frustrating since it’s my first broken cork in a whiskey.

Tastes good maybe a tiny bit off.

My worry with a corkscrew is the pressure needed, I guess. Hey, if it works, it works.

Diagonal worked. Drive the pressure towards the glass.

Otherwise I was going to mason jar the last bit.

This. I'm not paying for **** water when it's sooo easy to get good stuff now. BevMo's a mile down the road!

People keep saying millennial are killing macro brew.

No, sh|tty taste is killing macro.

Correct. However, Millennials have choices that folks like me never ever had. Sam Adams was the super craft beer at the time (and I still think it tastes below average). Once I got a hold of Ommegang....game over. And nowadays, Ommegang is a former thought, which is a shame.

Re: Drinking Thread: Three Sheets To The Wind

Well yes of course. Evolution. I was just waxing poetic about Killians this weekend.

Then again, in a pinch I’m not going to complain about a miller lite.

Chick Golden Light for me. So many memories of the softball playing days. ;) And yes, Bud, as for many years, my last drink at the bar was a bottle of Bud and a shot of Jack. I won't WILLINGLY have this stuff again, unless it's a rare, rare, rare, occasion, or if it's bought for me....
