Re: Division III Commitments 2014-15

Norwich does not typically announce recruits early.
Two young ladies I heard about are:
Katie Jeter- Islanders Jr
Erin Joyce- Cushing Academy

I didn't think anyone "announces" recruits because there is no binding commitment. Generally, the lady's junior team annouunces where she intends to go.

Re: Division III Commitments 2014-15

OK Players, Parents and Junior/Youth Coaches, most of the DIII players know what school they will be attending next fall at this point.

Lets try and get the list closer to complete.

See that Digit Murphy has broken away from the Islanders and is forming/coaching the Jr Blades next season...

Parents fill out their FAFSA and receive an EFC amount. Based upon the EFC schools offer Stafford loans, Parent Plus loans, Pell Grant & a School Grant. What D3 programs have the most generous school grants available? I know it is based upon need, let us assume the need is there. Thanks for the input.

NESCAC schools on average are very strong financially (some more than others though) - they are also amongst the highest cost D3 schools, but all you really care about is how much you are paying and borrowing, not the full price tag. A couple have no loan policies and others have no loan and/or no cost policies below a certain income level - this changes over time - need to do the individual school research. In particular, Amherst, Williams, Middlebury, Wesleyan have strong financial aid programs (and I think Bowdoin as well). Hamilton, Trinity, Colby, Conn College not as generous based on input from folks with kids who got offers at multiple schools.

Outside of the NESCAC in the East, Norwich, Elmira, and St Anselms tend to be pretty affordable with good aid packages I believe for players they want. Holy Cross and Sacred Heart aren't bad either. Not as sure about the SUNY schools for out of staters.
