Div III NCAA Rankings

Re: Div III NCAA Rankings

They have the same thing on the men's side. Two eastern conferences get auto-bids and are almost always (maybe it is always) the lowest two seeds in the tourney. As they say, if you want to get in for sure, win your conference. Middlebury (and Trinity on the men's side) found out that if you leave it to the committee.....

By the way, I never questioned the 4/4 split. My surprise was that Middlebury didn't replace Elmira due to the 2-0 H2H that they held over the Eagles. I have no problem with the NCHA getting an auto bid. They qualify under NCAA rules, so why shouldn't they?

I also think that with the triumverate of teams in the NCHA SNC, Adrian, CSS and to an extent LFC(can they keep that up?) it is very possible that in the future as the programs build it will be likely to find 2 NCHA teams in the top.
