Congratulations to Salem State's senior goalkeeper James LaCour. He has been name the D-III Posters' Player of the Week for the week of 11/23-11/29, after an impressive performance in Duluth, MN. In an OT lass to St. Scholastica, LaCour kept his team in it with 35 saves and a 0.898 save percentage, turning away 4 of 5 shots in overtime. However, much more impressive was his performance the next night, when LaCour made 31 saves, including 16 in the second period alone, in a 3-0 shutout of #1 St. Norbert. Thursday night, Salem State and LaCour kicked off their next week of competition, with a 5-3 victory over Framingham State in which LaCour made 19 saves for a 0.864 save percentage. The Vikings will continue their league play on Saturday in Westfield, MA at 5:35pm ET.

And congrats to our fellow poster, joecct, the proud father of our POTW!

And now, on to business: Nominations for the week of 11/30-12/6 will be due at 12pm ET Monday. Get 'em in!

Re: DIII Posters' POTW for the week of 11/30-12/6

Fun night last night in Framingham.

Framingham High had the slot before the game. Don't ask me what happened, but the Vikings did not get into the locker room until 45 minutes before game time.

Warm-up was 5 minutes. Then a zam. Then right to the game. No introductions, no anthem.

Bullhockey!

Congra(d)s to James. Well deserved honor.
Joe, you can stop holding your breath now!

Re: DIII Posters' POTW for the week of 11/30-12/6

Neil Musselwhite (Oswego) makes a strong case for a nomination after Friday's game which included 4 goals, 3 of which were shorthanded goals!

Pssttt...

I'd wait until after tonight's game to nominate him:D

He'll have a chance to improve on his stats

Third....

Scoring 4 goals is impressive enough, 3 shorthanded is amazing...

I'll nominate Ryan Klingensmith, G, with two shutouts this weekend. 5-0 over Amherst and 8-0 over Hamilton. 23 saves against Amherst, 25 against Hamilton. (He also had an assist!)

You beat me to it - but I had to get home from the rink.

Re: DIII Posters' POTW for the week of 11/30-12/6

I'll nominate Bowdoin frosh Dan Weiniger based on his 3-3-6 weekend and his central role in Bowdoin's sweep of Castleton and Skidmore. He set up the lone goal in Friday's 1-0 victory over Skidmore and was in on 5 of Bowdoin's 7 goals versus Castleton (a HT and 2 helpers).

I didn't nominate him...I said he was making a strong case to be nominated:D

Just so he is undoubtedly nominated:

Forward Neil Musselwhite of the Lakers. 5 goals (3 SH against B-port) and 1 Assist on the weekend. Give this man a trophy!
