MAHTOOK!!

3-2 Tigers, top 9

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

And Justin Wilson gives it right back, with a 1 out triple.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

Playing like a Little League team tonight. Three errors in the first.

Edit: and that won't go down as an error, but it should. Good lord.

Hosmer hits a bomb to make it 5-0, then Fulmer immediately plunks Perez, albeit accidentally with a really bad curveball. Doesn't matter. One of our guys is going to get plunked.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

The Royals have kicked the extra point in the 3rd inning. This thing is settled. The only reason to watch is to see who gets plunked to answer for Perez.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

I swear, I have never seen a team commit so many fundamental ****-ups in my life. Whether it's baserunning errors, or pitchers throwing the ball into right field on pick-off attempts, this is absurd.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

Another base-running ****-up by Castellanos.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

Rumors of Ian Kinsler to the Red Sox. We'll see.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

Looks like a false alarm. It appears that he's in today's lineup.

Does anyone have an opinion on the three guys we got for JD.?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

3 shortstops. From everything I've read, we got an 18 year old unknown (Jose King), a AA guy who has moved to 3B in Lugo, and another SS (Alcantara). Lugo and Alcantara are said to possess major league gloves, but who knows if they'll hit. 3 prospects from an organization whose farm system is worse than ours. I think I've read that Lugo and Alcantara project to be utility players at the MLB level.

In short, not very much. But we'll see...

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

The next one to watch is Verlander. Kershaw is probably headed to the DL with lower back issues, so the Dodgers might come calling.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

Man....Victor ropes one to the wall in the LF corner and has to dive into 2nd to barely make it. His legs are shot.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

This is just what these guys in the TV truck want to be doing. Yapping at MATT SHEPPARD!!! while trying to do their job.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 9: The Carlos Guillen edition

Jesus Christ, Mahtook.

You oughta sit there and sob for an hour after that ****-poor display of base-running. How the hell do you get picked off of first base, blowing a sac fly?

I didn't think it was possible to run the bases with your head planted this far up your ***, but this team never ceases to amaze me with these base-running ****-ups on a nightly basis.
