Looks like everyone was a day early on the JD rumors. JD to Arizona for unknown is being spread pretty wildly.

Edit: And now it's official. Tigers will get Dawel Lugo, Sergio Alcantara and Jose King. Lugo and Alcantara are rated 4th and 15th by the Dbacks. King wasn't ranked by Arizona but is ranked 25th in the Dback's organization by Prospects 1500.

And Arizona is one of the few teams with a worse farm system than ours.

This seems like a very light return for JD Martinez even as a rental; I don’t think Arizona gave up any of their top ten prospects in the deal, but they got a player who’s probably worth two wins to them the rest of the season.

I'm not sold on this trade, but I'm not sure why everyone thinks Keith Law is the Prospect Pope that everyone makes him out to be. If he were so good, you'd think he'd have more than 4 years experience in actual MLB front offices, and some since 2006. He's 0-2 on that front.

Castellanos has 2 bombs, a triple and a single. 12 total bases.

Tonight alone will contribute roughly 20 points to his slugging percentage and about 27 points to his OPS for the entire season.
