Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Bottom 2. 4-0 Jays. Same ****. Different day.

How many more times do we have to trot Buck Futter out to start a game before we realize that he's a long relief guy? I mean, I know we're stretched for pitching of any kind, but going into 2016 this guy is not a rotation candidate if we have any desire to contend.

Agreed. I wish I had another name for you. Randy wolff?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

I dunno anymore. Once upon a time there was Spahn and Sain and pray for rain. We've got Verlander and then go hide under the bed for four days.

Randy Wolfe can get us to the end of the year, and that's it. I have no illusions about his ability to contribute in 2016.

I think we can pencil in Verlander, Sanchez, and Norris in 2016. The best case scenario would be to have an internal candidate (looking squarely at Fulmer and, to a lesser extent, Boyd), and a free agent. But Buck Farmer and Drew VerHagen ABSOLUTELY CANNOT be candidates for those positions at this point.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

That sun is wreaking havoc on both right fielders. Bautista dropped an easy one last inning, and Collins just did that.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Bob Davidson working 1st base. That explains a lot of these check-swing calls.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Watching on MLB Network. Good to see the Jays winning, but your broadcasters (Keating and Allen?) are putting me to sleep.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

I think it's Gibby and Impemba today behind the mic.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Yes, he does need to speak up.

The US Championship for Little League is on in 10 minutes. This has been a fitting warm-up.

At least Gose knew how many outs there were this time.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Gibby now talking about "cluster luck" on balls hit.

Gibby, I think you're one letter off there.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

I'm on to LLWS and NDSU-Montana. Go right ahead.
