Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

They didn't need an hour to do this. This is crazy.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Porcello's not making a great case for himself at the moment...

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Final Vote for Porcello. After that first inning he's gonna need a lot of homer votes to get in.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Great piece of pitching there, Ricky. An All-Star performance, I tell ya.

Kroger wants some of that grapefruit he's throwing.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Torii hits one to cut it to 7-2. No, I'm not going for the homer light, not when we're getting bombed out of the house and someone with a .211 OBP for June finally hits one. Blind squirrels and nuts.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

What in the actual **** happened there?!?!?!?

That really didn't just happen. That was a figment of my imagination. Suarez did not channel his inner Prince Fielder there.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

And he didn't even replace his own divots.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

It always amazes me how players all over the country can play high school/little league/whatever baseball on poorly groomed fields and not lose footing, yet the best in the game can play on state-of-the-art turf and trip over themselves.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

JD hits one in the bottom of the 9th. 7-3 now.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Now we have thunder and lightning at the ballpark. This is fitting.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Who would have thought Verlander would be the albatross of all the contracts.

And it's 5-5. Okay then.

14-5 final.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

This little Miggy went to market.

If he were completely healthy, we'd have a homer light here. 33 doubles and 73 RBI on the season for him.
