MIGGY!!

3-0 AL, 4 batters in.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Andy Dirks had his rehab shut down due to muscle inflammation. Looks like it's going to be a while before we see him.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

There's a DH on Saturday. Drew VerHagen will make his major league debut in a spot start for the Saturday afternoon game.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Oh, I hope Ausmus didn't go get Sanchez one batter too late...

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

**** me.

Sanchez runs out of gas to start the 7th, Ausmus stays with him one batter too long, Krol blows the lead in three pitches, and Al Al Al Al Al gives up back to back bombs.

7-3 Cleveland, all in the 7th.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Well, it didn't help that Sanchez morphed into Jose Valverde when he came out to start the 7th.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Well. Might as well let them score about 15 tonight.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Probably a moot point because I don't think a six run 9th was coming, but Jackson swung at about four or five ball fours in his battle with the pitcher before striking out.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

We were done by then, but he did swing at Ball 6, at least.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Corey Knebel called up, Chad Smith sent down after last night.

Oh, and Huston Street to the Angels in a 6-player deal.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

91 pitches for Scherzer to get through 4 innings. And this is after VerHagen struggled to give us 5 earlier. This bullpen is going to be shot by tomorrow evening.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Miggy doubles to start the 6th, and we strand him at 3rd without even hitting a ball out of the infield.

We deserve to get swept today.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Well, at least Scherzer's off the hook, anyway.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Hey. Torii. You have a mouth. You sure know how to use it. Put it to good use for once and tell Jackson where the ****ing wall is so that doesn't happen.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

*looooooong deep breath and loud sigh*

And if Jackson catches that first ball, we're out of the inning unscathed.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Yep. Along with the outfield blunder, and Avila's OLE shot on the previous batter that led to the IBB in the first place.

We're taking turns screwing things up.
