Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

All right. It's 7-0. Let's get out of here with a 7-1 win or so and let's save some of this for tomorrow.

KINSLER!!

10-0, top 5

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

They're going to have 5 total hits in the next two games, aren't they?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Probably. Six, if we're lucky. Losing 3-2 and 2-1 the next two games wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

You know what? I don't care if it's 10-0. I'm gonna use it anyway.

Verlander gonna Verlander.

HUNTER!!

1-0, top 4

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Throwing error by Kinsler leads to a run, as Suarez cannot handle the throw.

Now, did Perez actually tag up and touch 3rd?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

NO. HE DID NOT TOUCH 3RD! CHALLENGE THE **** OUT OF THAT!!!!!

We'd better be able to review that. Otherwise Ausmus will go (and should go) crackers.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Ned Yost should probably be ejected if he's arguing here.

I believe the appeal is not necessary if the runner is already in the dugout.

3-2 final.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

All right. Here we are. 1 ahead in the loss column with 7 to play. KC makes up their 10th inning tomorrow night.

Assuming that Kansas City drops tomorrow night's suspended game. I suspect that 4-3 will put us in, no worse than a playoff. 5-2 gives us a 3rd straight AL Central crown. I don't see KC reeling off six of seven after the suspended game.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Might still be at 6 by the end of the night. The offense looks dead, after Kinsler gets caught stealing in the 1st. Against a rookie pitcher.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

That was a putrid display of hitting this evening. If we hit like that the rest of the way, we'll lose the division by 4 games.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

When the chips are down, our offense couldn't hit water if they fell out of a gondola in Venice.
