The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition
No. Fielder got buzzed after Miggy's bomb. Ramirez got butthurt after Putkonen threw behind him after a grand slam. Putkonen and Marlboro Jimmy ejected.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition
Friend got some seats first row in the Tigers bullpen, so that's where I'll be tonight. Hopefully see some history. The obvious one is who is starting, the other is Cabby is just 5 RBIs away from 100. Just think about that: 100 RBIs BEFORE the all-star break.
Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition
In 1937 Hank Greenberg had 103 at the break....and finished with 183. On 40 homers.
Go look at some of the RBI totals from the 1930s. They're obscene. And they put those totals up in far bigger ballparks than what we have now. 415 feet was a nice power alley back then. Nowadays Lynn Henning pulls his uterus weekly whining about 390 foot outs that somehow should be 5-run homers.
