Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

If PNC park was a Little League field, the Pirates would have about 7 homers so far. They're not hitting Fister hard, but these dink and dunk shots are going to end his night early if it doesn't stop shortly.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

4-0 because Fister does not realize that Cabrera is not 7-foot-2 like he is, and throws a force out to 3B straight into the left field foul territory. Then Delmon picks up the ball like he picks up a salad, fumbling that, too.

It's not "say goodnight" time yet, but we've got our jammies on awful early tonight.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

At least Verlander pitched well enough to salvage a game. 5 runs in three games for that crack offensive lineup. I hope the Tejas massacre is quick and merciful.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

If you haven't been watching the 1st inning of the Tigers v Rangers game tonight, the Tigers scored 5 runs on 7 hits sending 10 men to the plate in the top of the first.

We haven't seen that kind of production so far this season.

Tigers 5 : 0 Rangers going to the bottom of the first.

Hopefully Porcello will use those runs to his advantage!

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Well, if the Tigers did beat up that batting practice stuff from that Texas rookie, they deserved to be relegated to AAA status.

Good outing from Porcello.

Now, let's hope the offense doesn't take a dirt nap against the Ranger's real staff. Take another game in Arlington and I'd think they'd consider it successful moving to the four gamer against Tampa.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Cabrera is ****ed about getting earholed by Darvish.

Mr. Darvish, that's not the man you want angry with you.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

And Fielder brings them both home, double to LC.

2-0, 4 batters in.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

And Darvish immediately goes to the rosin when Cabrera steps in. Wise man.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Not the best piece of baserunning out of Berry there, getting doubled-off on Cabrera's line-out.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Perhaps in Texas instead of throwing out the first pitch, Josh Hamilton should toss out the first bat. This is getting absurd.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Cabrera throws one away on a lazy throw, leading to a run. That run was probably going to score eventually anyway, but we didn't need to put the extra runners in scoring position.

Murphy then bombs an 0-2 pitch into downtown Dallas, and boom, we're in a 4-0 hole.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Everything Texas is hitting looks like it needs guidance from Mission Control in Houston. This might be an early night for all parties involved.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

We're getting single runs, and they're getting runs in bunches. This is not a good pace for us.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

message to tiger pitchers. if you throw it right down the middle it will go out in a hurry. why is this so hard to understand.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

Because our pitchers are used to watching our lineup.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 3 - The Alan Trammell version

They've hit 3 bombs off of Fister, but Hamilton has thrown his bat farther than he's hit the ball tonight.
