Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Christ Almighty.

Abreu goes ka-boom off of Garrett and it's 12-10 White Sox. This was a 10-4 game 4 outs ago.

Whenever Gardenhire calls down to the bullpen, he might as well be ordering pizza.

If Abreu truly passed Anderson on the basepaths (and I think he did), then this is going to be interesting.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Abreu passed Anderson on the basepaths after rounding 1st. Therefore, he is out. This is some Little League nonsense right there.

Apparently the rule states that both runners score, while Abreu is out, so it's 11-10 instead.

Too bad there weren't two outs.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Now Stumpf, A LEFTY, gives up a stolen base to a catcher.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

If a miracle occurs, and we do regain the lead, I have no idea just how we're going to get 6 more outs.

RODRIGUEZ!!!!

11-11, top 8

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Why is Harrison bunting?!? It's 11 to freaking 11. Does anybody really think that 1 more run is enough?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

If it's a 2-1 game and runs are at a premium, I might understand. But that was ridiculous. I'm not sure we can get 6 more outs before we give up 6 more runs.

Jimenez strikes out 3 straight, then serves up a cookie to Anderson, who rockets it into the LF stands. Ballgame.

12-11 final.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Casey Mize threw a no-no in AA tonight. 98 pitches, no hits, no walks, 1 HBP.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

We're going to have to do something about CF before too long. Problem is, Daz Cameron is hitting about .195 in Toledo and is mired in a hellacious slump.

Zac Reininger makes Buck Farmer and Drew VerHagen look like Glavine and Maddux.

.

****. Mike Cameron can’t be old enough to have a kid at AAA. This is depressing. :p

It's true. I remember the night he hit 4 bombs at Comiskey (before it got renamed eleventy times), and then hit his 5th ball nearly to the warning track.

We had 2 on with 1 out in the 3rd inning. Nothing. Greiner strikes out to end the inning. Bases loaded in the 8th with 1 out. Greiner bounces into a double play to end that threat.

4-2 at the moment, but I'm not exactly comfortable.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Sugar Shane at it again. He's served up two cookies so far. One went 440 feet to left center. The other one put a Royal at 2nd.
