3-1 final for the sweep.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

7-3, still in first. That's nine games longer than I thought that would last.

Two big divisional series this week.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

These "players only" broadcasts sound like a terrible idea.

Only because Jack Morris and Craig Monroe will be on.

If they want to just put Kirk Gibson on to talk about fishing and the probability of scoring if you bunt with men on first and second with no outs I'm all for it.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Rubber match tomorrow.

Can’t even brag about being in first with a -2 run differential because Milwaukee’s done it with the same record and a -4.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Beckham showing off some power.

Also, I know it's cold there in Minnesota, but that is still one small crowd for a Sunday afternoon.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

I knew there was a reason I couldn't find the thread. You were posting in it.

This team is effectively the walking wounded. Yesterday it was Beckham on the bench and that was it. Once he went in the game for Mercer it was the Buck Farmer show if we needed another fielder.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

They're starting to rake Zimmerman. The first inning runs were off of a couple of dink-and-dunk shot. The two hits in the 2nd were good solid shots.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Well, I think I see how this is going to go. Zimmerman doesn't have diddly-**** today.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Gonna be hard to overturn if only 1 angle replay.

Eta. But they do. Interesting.

I probably would have let that one stand. But they did have another angle showing the ball going into Hicks' glove. I would have been fine either way with whatever they came up with.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Twins bullpen was awfully shakey again today.

I'm surprised to learn Miggy doesnt have an HR yet.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

This team isn't going to hit very many home runs in general. If he's healthy, Miggy's going to be in the 25-30 range, Castellanos will be 20-25 or so, but then I don't see anyone else that we can count on for more than 15. There's a couple that might (Stewart and Candelario, and maybe Harrison), but no one we can point to and say "this guy is going to get us 15+".

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Back to .500.

If that cookie Sugar Shane threw him was any bigger, we could have dunked it in milk and eaten it.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 10: The Tommy Bridges edition

Matt Moore our for the year, per Jason Beck on Twitter. Meniscus was more damaged than expected.
