Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

I think the only guy Coke hasn't walked in the 1st inning is the Coors Light vendor in Section 238.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

Well, the end of that road trip did end up being a winning one. Now if only they could find a way to beat the White Sox...

9-3 final.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

Hmmmm. Maybe that bunt single in the 5-run 4th will get Jackson untracked.

Oh, and no later than Monday we'll have Henning's usual "MY UTERUS HURTS!!! BRING THE FENCES IN!!!" column after Avila's shot to center. God forbid someone hit one farther than 375 feet and not have it land in the 22nd row,.

Nice camera work there. A play at 2nd and we get a shot of Jackson jogging across home plate instead.

9-0 this time.

Dat's funny. Enjoying the caning we're giving the Sox. Boy, they look terrible.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

Great series against the White Sox, but yeah, they look terrible. I didn't realize they got rid of Jenks, so that explains why they lead the league in blown saves. Now if the Tigers can beat up on the M's they might get a whiff of first before the start of the weekend.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

Ugh. Coke not overly sharp, and then the bed-sharting commenced in the top of the 5th. Against King Felix, that combo is fatal.

7-3 Ichiros. At least Deadliest Catch starts in 20 minutes.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

Our "Ace" gets beat by a bad team... and we fall to 12-12. Good thing we're in the AL Central. 3.5 games back to the Indians. Can April just end already?

edit: Swept by Seattle at home. Pathetic- gave up 24 runs and scored 6- now on to Cleveland and then home to the Yankees. May isn't going to start any better.

It would be nice if the top three hitters didn't stink.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

I miss Placido. He has the Nat'l league's highest average for April.

CABRERA!

2-run cannon shot to left.

2-0, top 1

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

And then Boesch becomes the first guy the Tribe have thrown out on the basepaths this season. *shakes head*

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

And head-up-our-asses baserunning costs us another run.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

These next 8 outs are going to be tough to get.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

I miss Placido. He has the Nat'l league's highest average for April.

But Scott Sizemore is more than ready and Placido asking for $6 million is just too much when we pay Brandon Inge 5.5.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

Exactly.

I'm second guessing here. I would have lifted Scherzer.
