Denver at tUMD - Friday 12/3/10

Re: Denver at tUMD - Friday 12/3/10

Gwoz says Beau's injury is not as serious as first thought. He has a strain which they will confirm with a 2nd opinion. He could be fitted with a brace and possibly play next weekend in Anchorage. He will not play tomorrow.

Say more things like that!!!

Re: Denver at tUMD - Friday 12/3/10

Wait just a freakin' minute. Gwoz is saying Beau's knee isn't season ending and he's holding out the prospect that he could play against UAA. That's great news. But raises the question of where those Columbia School of Broadcasting dropouts for UMD got their information, and for that matter, their medical degrees. Assuming Gwoz knows the situation, that's REALLY good news.

See my prior post. no umd announcers would know that. stupid post by PP.

Re: Denver at tUMD - Friday 12/3/10

I am going with Gwoz's assessment. He is giving high praise to trainer Aaron Leu.

Just when I was going to say hadn't heard Shore's name called ...
and then,
and then,
Drew Shore Game Winning goal in OT!

Re: Denver at tUMD - Friday 12/3/10

To be fair, assuming they did say ACL and MCL, one presumes they didn't pull that information out of thin air. Who the bleep said that to them? Those are both significant injuries (I tore an MCL in college and it was the worst pain I've ever had) and very specific diagnoses. Is it possible some press box wag just fed them phony information for giggles? Certainly it didn't come from DU. Whoever is responsible, very bush league. Extraordinarily bush league.

Nothing to be sorry for, especially since I NEVER spill the Crown. :D Although I was thinking about filing a claim against your insurance.

Note to self: don't take any stock tips from those morons. Just about the most important rule in pbp--don't speculate about the extent of injures and don't give out erroneous information.
They probably got them at DU.

It look really twisted old man. By the way he was writhing in pain I thought it was a torn MCL and ACL the minute I saw his leg go sideways. So calm down. :D

We went through this last year with an idiot UAA poster. Don't be like her. What you thought it looked like is miles away from an actual diagnosis of ACL and MCL, and of no consequence. Presumably you aren't a doctor. And even if you were you wouldn't be so unprofessional as to diagnose an injury without actually palpating it yourself. It's not a matter of me being calm or not. It's a matter of some completely erroneous information getting "out there." And how that happened. As I said, it's possible your guys got handed some wrong information, or it's possible they, too, thought "it looked really twisted" and made their diagnosis on that basis. If so, they shouldn't have. And neither should you.

Actually, Biddco is a doctor, but thanks for playing.

I don't care if he's Jonas Salk. You may think it's necessary to defend every UMD fan who shoots off his mouth ignorantly, but really, how can you defend him or anyone else who put this erroneous information out there? It's not a game, and I'm not playing. But that remark does show a certain lack of seriousness on your part. No harm done, off course, but I'm not sending anyone with a sports injury to Biddco's office. He can just put on his turban and diagnose it long distance.

Incidentally, your "orthopedic surgeon" needs to update his profile. Do I get the home version of the game and the Rice-a-roni?
