Denver at tUMD - Friday 12/3/10

Re: Denver at tUMD - Friday 12/3/10

Tough loss tonight. Being down 3-0, coming all the way back, going up 4-3, giving up the obligatory last minute goal and then the breakdown in OT. The real test will be to see how UMD responds tomorrow.

Stupefying! The way this game played out I was virtually certain UMD would win (note: I said "virtually" certain). And it says a lot about this Pioneer team to come from behind on the road, against an elite team, for an important two points. The Dogs will require saliva tests tomorrow night. Let's also keep our fingers crossed for the injury report on Beau.

Perry Schnarr with 37 well above Rick Berens 28 and Glenn Anderson's 26. (media guide only has frosh stats back to 70/71 which I guess is when they were first eligible to play on the varsity.)

Can't win them all.

Tomorrow is the true test for this team because they haven't had the "tough" loss until tonight.

Also a true test for this DU team, especially if Bennett can't go. But, DU needed 2 points out of this series, and we got them tonight. any more is gravy to me.

Re: Denver at tUMD - Friday 12/3/10

Gwoz says Beau's injury is not as serious as first thought. He has a strain which they will confirm with a 2nd opinion. He could be fitted with a brace and possibly play next weekend in Anchorage. He will not play tomorrow.

Re: Denver at tUMD - Friday 12/3/10

Wait just a freakin' minute. Gwoz is saying Beau's knee isn't season ending and he's holding out the prospect that he could play against UAA. That's great news. But raises the question of where those Columbia School of Broadcasting dropouts for UMD got their information, and for that matter, their medical degrees. Assuming Gwoz knows the situation, that's REALLY good news.

Note to self: don't take any stock tips from those morons. Just about the most important rule in pbp--don't speculate about the extent of injures and don't give out erroneous information.
