Denver at tUMD - Friday 12/3/10

Re: Denver at tUMD - Friday 12/3/10

How is Martin, btw?

His doctor said the injury he sustained is 99% fatal. And that the majority of those who survive it are paralyzed. He's alive and not paralyzed. Walked into a news conference in Denver the other day under his own power. Reports have him shooting baskets in the hospital. He's back home for the holidays. And is planning to go back to class in January. His doctor said it was like winning the Power Ball twice. It was a very close thing.

He is home in Edmonton and doing rehab. He will be back in Denver to start school in January. He is supposedly going to be a student assistant coach for the rest of this year much like David Carle.

UMP PP - Nick Shore to sin bin.

Wow. Scarry. Very, very good to hear is doing well.

Another penalty on DU, Phillips to sin bin, UMD going back on the PP.

Re: Denver at tUMD - Friday 12/3/10

UMD PP (0 for 3)

Phillips, 2 for boarding.

Need a goal here guys. With the crack officiating in this league, we probably will be shorthanded the entire third.

Re: Denver at tUMD - Friday 12/3/10

We need the mojo! Those 2 goals from tUMD took the air out of DU's balloon.
Time to get tough!

Re: Denver at tUMD - Friday 12/3/10

He's at home for the holidays and plans to begin classes in January. His father had a mild heart attack about 2 weeks ago. Tought times for the Martins.

No doubt his father's heart attack was somewhat related to his son having his life flash before his eyes a month or so back. As always, I wish them both a full recovery. Glad to hear Jesse is doing well.
