Denver at Minnesota State - Friday 2/26/10

Re: Denver at Minnesota State - Friday 2/26/10

I don't remember that place. Was it just north of Evans. I remember the gas station, Gene's Barber Shop, a record store and a waterbed store being there.

About mid way down the block from the University Park Pharmacy. The space has changed hands numerous times in the years since I left. I'm thinking for a while there it was some sort of African specialty joint.

Maybe I remember Pat and Lucy's so fondly because it was there that Wiste joined me for breakfast one day and told me the story about walking in on Bobby Hull when Hull was, uh, busy with a fan. Without missing a beat Hull said: "come on in, kid." Now that's a hall of famer.

Game over. Nice job, Pios. I wish you luck with your quest for the MacNaughton cup on Saturday night.

Post game on with Gwoz coming up shortly.

Yep, glad we got the win and nothing bizarre happened. Lets get the MacNaughton tomorrow night. Skate is around at home next Friday.

Doesn't ring a bell. But you are making me hungry with the warm pie talk.

A lot of these places don't last long. Maybe Pat and Lucy had personal problems. They had a $3.50 special: 8 oz filet mignon, soup AND salad. Oh my.

Rock with 3 assists tonight, Ruegs with a goal and an assist.

Gwoz is on.....

Hey, he's flying solo, without a net, on Olympic sized ice, and the Pioneers now have a 9 game consecutive win streak. Give him a break.

And the Mavs have a player on the team whose brother plays for the Avs :) :D ;)

Barring a miracle, looks like USA/CAN for the gold medal. This is the one they want most, the one they think they're entitled to. Frankly, I've got serious doubts we can beat them a second time. But it surely (don't call me Shirley) would be sweet.

Exactly. Why not? :)

It'll take 60 minutes of total effort. The Canadians are really throwing the bodies around and we'll have to respond forcefully or else. Under these circumstances, a win would be the second most gratifying ever.

Gwoz - Martin and Wrenn had some rust to shake off. Good for them to get back in action. Team passed up too many chances to take shots from good shooting positions by making one too many passes. Their goal is just to keeping playing well one shift at a time. Everyone knows they have a chance to clinch the MacNaughton tomorrow but the goal is to win the game and keep building momentum towards the playoffs.

Should be a good Gold Medal match-up. The Canadians are going to be very angry after getting beat by USA earlier. Hopefully, Team USA can weather the early storm that Canada will probably bring. Miller will have to be huge again for USA.

We're on the same page ;) If you want the Gold; you may as well EARN it!
