Denver ar UNO - Saturday 2/26/11

Hello all,

Not in the arena tonight. Instead we're back in Topeka watching Hockey Night in Canada and listening to the game online. The 3 hour drive to Omaha tonight is a bit much...especially with these gas prices.

Credit to the UNO fans last night....some of the classiest I have ever met on my college hockey travels.

In Lincoln, Husker fans cheer for visiting clubs when they head off the field at the end. And it's sincere.

Obviously, not what you see at OU. Their fans cheer for blood once OU gets the lead.

I was speaking of fully accredited universities, not coached by an anti-diluvian phony "you will respect my authoritie." Sorry I wasn't clear.

Besides, NU's going into the Big Ten and Colorado's in their rearview. One of the worst things I ever saw in a college football game was a helmut swinging, bench clearing brawl at Folsom Field in a game with Miami. The two biggest proponants of "thug ball" meeting on national TV and showing why they were nearly universally despised.

DU 3 UNO 2, after two. Fingers crossed. Sammee seems to have tightened up. He'll need it in the 3rd.
