I don't see Whitmer getting the VP nod over a non-white female (Abrams, Harris, etc) but this story is a nothingburger by a low wattage hack reporter. Anyway Whitmer needs to stick around as MI Gov and lead the state through the next round of redistricting.

It just seems that Whitmer went from barely a whisper about being thought about as a VP, and this is like the sixth article this week I saw discussing Whitmer stumbling.

Which is maddening. Her response, while not perfect for blanketing the whole state, has done a d*mn fine job in limiting the spread. It's been contained to Detroit Metro, with very small pockets outside the state.

I get that the UP, northern lower, and parts of the West side are pretty far removed from Coronavirus, but knowing how fast the common flu can spread through those towns, this would have been downright biblical to these smaller communities. They're not prepared for anything this serious.

Hell, I have had family with issues that needed intensive care rush to the nearest ER (both in the UP and northern lower) who were met at the doors by the doctor on duty with "Why the hell did you stop here? Get to [insert higher center] two hours from here. Good luck."

I don’t get it either. Her approval rating for handling Covid on a poll taken 4/15-4/16 was +20 while Trump was -5.

Bad idea, her profile is very low in Wisconsin so I can’t imagine her recognition level nationally.

She's extremely well regarded among the type of people who can tell you the party chair in every state. A great and worthy candidate who won't bring us anything from the Great Unwashed. Paul Tsongas with less charisma.

Just find a chick with rhythm. How hard can it be? Get me Foxy Brown.

Trueon Baldwin.

I’d be surprised if it’s not Warren or someone who might placate or partially placate Bernie fans like myself. Need someone with some fire for change.

Please no, not Warren. And that's from someone who would have voted for her if she had made it to June, or whatever date my primary is now on.

I'm a balls deep Bernie Bro who would not like Warren on the ticket for electoral reasons.

Biden is white enough for the whole ticket plus his entire cabinet. My list starts and ends with brown women under 60 because voters are f-cking morons and identity (age, sex, race) is important to them. Gotta play to that first.
