So Bloomberg's latest ad takes a clip of him asking a question at the debate followed by 20 seconds of silence. Problem is it was a rhetorical that no one took seriously enough to answer and the silence last all of two seconds before everyone moved on. The ad has earned 4 Pinocchios from WaPo.

Which is nice, but he'll put $50 million behind the ad and infinitely more people will see it than watched the debate.

Minnesota authorities are on the lookout for Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-MN) Republican challenger, Danielle Stella, who failed to appear in court after she was charged with theft.

Staffers at the Hennepin County District Court and the county sheriff’s office confirmed to TPM that a judge had issued an arrest warrant after Stella skipped her hearing on October 31.

Heather and her son Lane Biggs just needed medical care. A few years ago, Lane was getting treated for leukemia, which he was diagnosed with at age 5, and at the same time, his mom Heather developed seizures from Lyme disease. That left the family with piles of medical debt that they couldn’t afford.

They didn’t make enough to afford health insurance, but they made too much to qualify for Medicaid.

“We had so many multiple health issues in our family at the same time, it put us in a bracket that made insurance unattainable,” Heather told CBS News. “It made no sense. We would’ve had to have not eaten, not had a home.”

Her husband, Tres, was working two jobs in their hometown of Coffeyville, Kansas, where the poverty rate is twice the national average, but it wasn’t nearly enough to pay off the debt, which hit $70,000. After he missed a court appearance about his unpaid bills and was unable to get the money for the $500 bail, Tres was sent to jail.

“You wouldn’t think you’d go to jail over a medical bill,” he said. “[It was] scary. I was scared to death, because, you know, I’m a country kid. I had to strip down, get hosed and put a jumpsuit on.”

In Coffeyville, attorneys have taken advantage of the growing medical debts in low-income households. One lawyer interviewed by CBS News, Michael Hassenplug, pushed the local judge to establish a law that requires people with unpaid medical bills — even ones as low as $28 — to come to court every three months and say that they are too poor to afford their bills, called a “debtor’s exam.” And if they miss two of those court appearances, an arrest warrant goes out for contempt of court with a $500 bail.

Tres said that when it happened to him, they had “maybe $50 to $100” in the bank — not the $500 needed to make bail.

Hassenplug faced a man with disabilities, who attested in his “debtor’s exam” that he likely would never be able to pay off his medical bills due to a lack of money.

“Well, this will end when one of us dies,” Hassenplug responded.

Last I heard she isnt even considered the frontrunner for that nomination. Wont matter...like 40000 people are trying to get that seat and none of them have any sort of real name recognition. Omar will win it without much issue. (unless somehow the Iraqi Republican gets it...which is just a weird sentence to write)

The correct way to respond, because apparently some people running for President need an example:

"It was not clear what role they're going to play. We were told that Russia, maybe other countries, are going to get involved in this campaign, and look, here's the message to Russia: stay out of American elections," Sanders said.

"And what they are doing, by the way, the ugly thing that they are doing, and I've seen some of their tweets and stuff, is they try to divide us up. That's what they did in 2016 and that is the ugliest thing they are doing -- is they are trying to cause chaos, they are trying to cause hatred in America."

Russia wants Trump re-elected. If Bernie really has the best shot of beating him, why would they be helping Bernie?

Or they are pumping the “Bernie has the best shot of beating Trump” narrative and have some Bernie bombshells ready for the general

I have no doubt they’ve got the Facebook bots ready to wage war on the ”evil socialist”.

I don't think Bernie has the best shot, and that's why I think Russia wants him to be the nominee.

Actually they are doing it for to get the exact reaction you are giving them. They want infighting, that is the best chance to keep Trump in office.

None of us know who has the best shot...and no poll is reliable about this. Let it all play out.

Also true. Donnie has said he wanted Sanders, thinks that is the least likely contender to beat him.
