That's because prior to 1960 the only big company was the NWA. The AWA started in 1960 and the WWF was in 1963.

Well that answers a question I never asked. LOL When I was a kid wrestling was merely what was on the tube (in Chicago, from Marigold Arena) which could only be watched in my house when my parents were otherwise occupied. This identification with "associations" only came later. By then I was much too sophisticated to pay any attention. Although as I've admitted here before, once or twice in college we went downtown to watch Handsome Harley Race.

I became a big O'Toole fan after "My Favorite Year." So many great lines

As the papers have pointed out, with the Oscar loss in "Venus", Peter O'Toole became the all time male Oscar non winner.

When I was young, "The Legend of Billy Jack" was often on late at night, and I would catch it when I was babysitting. I don't know why, but I was strangely fascinated. I think it was more of the education in the school, the Montessori-type student-directed learning that reached the street kids. It seemed very "hippie" to me then, but now Montessori is growing into a very popular school choice.

One of my favorite movies, though you don't see it on TV much. My favorite line isn't one of O'Toole's though: "Two things all Jews know: Suffering...and where to get great Chinese food."
