Dead!!!!

From what I've read, he was the passenger.
Don't know who the driver was, but I've read it was a friend of his.

Articles I've read say he was the passenger, the driver (who also died) was a friend, but also that he was giving test drives for a charity event.

Assuming that this was during the charity event... it makes one wonder what safety precautions are/were in place for when peoe who were not qualified to handle that sort of car wanted to drive it.

Re: Dead!!!!

The first reports made it sound like he was driving. He was indeed the passenger in a friend's car. Emergency services arrived to a burning vehicle and a downed lightpost and found two occupants after the fire was put out. Speed was a factor.

Re: Dead!!!!

This is one of those where I'm miffed by the following the guy had... Last night, Facebook was all over this... Really have a feeling that 90% of the people posting didn't care about the guy 5 hours beforehand however...

Re: Dead!!!!

Considering all the charity work he did I am gonna say you are wrong. The guy was well respected no matter what you think of his movies.

NPR just did a thing on him. I was thinking the same thing. The guy seems pretty unassuming and gave a lot of cash over for causes without much publicity

Re: Dead!!!!

He was a crappy actor with crappy movies, but I still feel really bad. Not only because of the charity work he did, but he wasn't all boozed up or on drugs etc etc like many of these early deaths. It was just an unfortunate incident.

Yeah, he wasn't a great actor, but he had an easy charm and charisma that came across in his roles. Plus, he also seemed really down to earth, not an egotistical or self-entitled prima donna like so many young actors are today, and seemed as if he avoided all the trouble and drugs and boozing that so many fall into. Just seemed like an unassuming, regular, nice guy.

Re: Dead!!!!

I liked a couple of the Fast and Furious movies...

"If one day the speed kills me, do not cry because I was smiling."
-Paul Walker

That is creepy!

Walker did some badass stuff too outside of driving fast. I watched a show on NatGeo where a group of scientists went down to Mexico, took Great White Sharks out of the water to tag them and then put them back in and observed. He was on one of the teams that would be on the platform measuring and holding down the shark
