I do. They still made a conscious choice to not educate themselves, and believe what was presented before them. THEN, they went all in, believing that what was being told, is indeed the truth. Rush didn't MAKE them make that choice. He didn't kidnap them and hold a gun to their head.

To be clear: Rush is not a good person, but I still don't wish him cancer nor death.

nah, he was a radio geek from childhood, worked as a disc jockey for many years, until he found his niche in talk radio. AM was on its last legs, being held up, if you can call it that, by Larry King. Right wing talk breathed new life into AM.

He certainly isn't a racist, having many black friends and hires on his show. I think a lot of his shtick was tongue in check, which few liberals get, a sense of humor not being their strong suit.

I just can't understand wishing death or suffering on a fellow human being, no matter how much you disagree with their political views. Politics is small potatoes compared to life and death.

even if he weren't personally racist, he certainly had no problem with dog-whistle racism on his show. and it doesn't matter it's a tongue in cheek shtick: if a sizable percentage of his listeners actually believe it then it's caused actual harm

would you be sad if Putin had cancer?

I can't imagine anyone truly wishes death on a fellow human. When I say DIAF I don't actually mean that. I thought that was understood.

I won't wish any ill to Rush. I will wish that he experiences the same compassion and care that he offered in his life. I hope he experiences the same uplift of humanity he helped spread through his work.
