Re: Dead Thread 2019-???: Yep, They're Still Dead.

I meant I thought the Mustang was before Iaccoca running Ford, which it was, but evidently he had something to do with its release. He wasn't a designer so I'm not sure what papers he shuffled to make it happen. I assume he fought a Ford turf battle for the model.
Iacocca was the guy who created and pushed the Mustang project through, from conception to implementation. While he wasn't the engineer, or even an engineer on the project, he was a Princeton-schooled engineer.

I'm sure he was very important. I'd still like to talk to the designers and engineers, though. It certainly takes skills to navigate the swamps of corporate politics, and it's essential to get anything actually built. But if I'm starting a company and I get a choice of one key employee I'm going with the design genius. The rest are far more fungible.

For the record I don't think the owner's or the coach's name should go on the Stanley Cup. Sure, they matter in their lanes, but to me the true glory belongs solely to the guys on the ice. The guys with the money... meh.

I was wondering if someone was going to post that. :(

I grew up with Alfred E. Granted, it lost its touch as the world grew, and internet was created, but what a great mag in their prime.

I did too. I stopped reading it around 1970 when in grad school.

Cameron Boyce, 20.

Disney Channel star, he was also in Grown Ups with Sandler.

As parent forced to watch many hours of Disney Channel and especially Descendants it is a bit sad.
