DEAD!! All right, who died now?

Re: DEAD!! All right, who died now?

She's 90 and would be an impactful death

The Queen

That would be a fitting topper to an otherwise crappy year.

Buckingham Palace has just made a statement that the Queen is not dead. She's been sick the past eleven days.

Re: DEAD!! All right, who died now?

Instead of a %@*$wad Morrissey? I agree.

About 15 of us that were at MSU in the early 90's and trekked to MPLS to see Morrissey at the Orpheum for his Your Arsenal tour. All were big Smiths fans, most were still in tune with his solo work.

He was notorious for cutting shows quick due to fanboys jumping on stage for a touch which you'd assume they'd eventually account for via security. About 60 minutes into a very noteworthy set one guy and one gal made it to the stage. I don't don't either one got within 5-10 feet of him, but sure as s**t he ended the show.

The only positive from that is we ended up at an epic party by accident in the warehouse district.

I'd like to think if I ever got the chance to see him live again that crap would be curtailed.

I was at a Billy Bragg gig here about 4 years ago and he went off on an epic tangent about Morrissey. They have, uh... history.

Anyway, I'd have liked to see him in his prime. For all the sh-t he took (much of it well-earned) he really put out some fine music.

O_O I'm surprised Zsa Zsa didn't make another year...

And the protesters can come off their soap boxes; Betty White made it to 2017.

Re: DEAD!! All right, who died now?

I saw The Smiths around 85/86 and Morrissey didn't impress me at all. For all his talk about not wanting sexuality to be an issue, and him just being another bloke and all that, and during the show he's prancing around and hanging off the stage with his shirt open, playing the sex symbol act for all he was worth.

He always has been a pretentious twat(rhymes with bat)

Hammer - delete one of these threads. Too confusing to have them both running at the same time!

Re: DEAD!! All right, who died now?

I made a new one for 2017. I thought we were going with that one.
