D3FHL Draft 2012-2013

Re: D3FHL Draft 2012-2013

Tell me the weeks you are looking at, when you want the playoffs, and we can work backwards for a regular season. Since you're already set up for scoring individual match ups, all you should need is a workable schedule. The scheduling kind of thing is my meat and potatoes.

I figured out a workable schedule I think. It's best to just think you have a match up every week so you don't forget to put a team in, but the schedule is up. The off weeks (1,2,3,8,9,10) we will not have match ups, but we will still run points during those weeks for the overall point total. I don't want to have match ups the first 3 weeks because not all teams are playing, so we have to wait till week 4 so all teams are on the ice.

Also, the week(s) in December (weeks 8 and 9) there are really no games.

Other key notes:
- Double Tourney Dates : We will have double goals or assists or PP points or Bonus points or all the above awarded these weeks
- Free Trades : During these weeks, members can trade players free of charge
- Trade Deadline : Not sure I need to explain, but thats why they put Caution HOT on coffee cups, there will be no more trades after this week

Re: D3FHL Draft 2012-2013

He was on my short list even before he said anything. My initial target was Whitelaw and I just missed on him. With 11 members, we could have one division, play something like 15 games (Everybody once and go halfway through the schedule again), I'm not 100% sure of the calendar, but something like that could work out. We could either have a bye every week, or we could have double headers scheduled so that somebody is playing two people each weekend. Either #1 has a bye, or 1,2,3 and three are lined up so that 1 plays 2 and 3, 2 plays 1 and 3, and 3 plays 1 and 2, so that each of them gets two games in the standings instead of 1 for everybody else. Just a random thought.

I got a little lucky that someone got skipped and the ppl before me didnt take him. When I compiled my list, I was praying I would get Whitelaw before anyone else.

I was honestly up in the air between him and Plattsburgh's goalie, but I didn't want to get a bad goalie.

Goalies are a dime a dozen... and you never know for sure. With only 11 players this year, there should be more than enough quality goalies to go around. (Says the man who always picks bad goalies)

And a lot less work for me on Sunday nights

Anyone seen UCBadger around???

Re: D3FHL Draft 2012-2013

I'll take F. Evan Chlanda, Utica (ECAC West)

(In somewhat related news....Utica moves to ticketed seating instead of "open" seating...I have ordered my set of tickets :D. I hope the Aud has some adult beverages I can drink at the games as I am trying (very hard) to avoid gluten and wheat products . )

Awww there he goes, was really hoping to land Domsodi coming back here oh well! Is there any update on Jabber or will I be up following Mount's next selection?

Re: D3FHL Draft 2012-2013

Executive decision being made...

if Jabber fails to make contact today, we will move on the rest of the draft. We will then drop to a 10 team league unless he picks a team before the draft concludes. Not trying to be a **** but we don't have a ton of time. So while the schedule is up, there could be some change. It will pretty much stay the same, just who ever has a bye that week will take Jabbers spot. The week Jabber had a bye will become an open week (or we will move them around to have an off week during tourney times)....
