D3 Scores and Highlights - Let the season begin!

RIT Fan

GO TIGERS!
Four big games this weekend in Norwich, VT. What a great way to start the year.

Let's try and keep this thread clean with only scores from the up coming weekends, if you feel the need to go on a rant about something, please start another thread.

Derek, great opening story for the EAST/WEST Classic.
Good luck everyone!

Good luck everyone!

Don't forget those 4 games out west!

I'd say Adrian/Oswego is an important matchup as well, since we always use these games to judge the west!

Re: D3 Scores and Highlights - Let the season begin!

This freaking snow thing has caused me to be a wuss and bail on Day 2 of the East/West!
Day 1 lived up to all my expectations:
M-ville just did not look ready to play (a step slow, thinking what to do, rusty net play) but hung around and really had a shot at the end (because RIT cannot resist chippy stuff after the whistle and kept heading to the box). I am sure a couple weeks practice will fix M-ville troubles as they skate a talented team. RIT looks to be loaded and will doubtless be in the mix all season.
The Elmira-Norwich game played at a much faster, physical pace (without so much silly stuff, and Kaselouskas and Mann let them play). Norwich is big and fast and attack relentlessly. The keep traffic away from their own net and have great net presence of their own. They got up 2-0 early, then Elmira played a great 2nd and finally tied things at 2-2, only to sucumb to playing like the young team they are, take some bad penalties and sort of hang the goalie out to dry on 2 pp goals. Norwich outmuscled them in close for both goals 3 and 4.
Anyway...see you all at a game real soon.
GO U BEARS!!!
