Grace Waters ties it three minutes into the second period.

Nice job by Heather Marrison to keep the puck in at the blue line. Norwich got caught trying to get up the ice for the breakout and Midd developed a 3 on 1 out of the corner. Centering pass by Jennifer Krakower is stuffed home far post by Grace Waters to tie it at 1.

14 minutes left in second period now. 1-1.

Sara Ugalde gives Middlebury the lead.

Assists from Joyce and Woodward.

Panthers lead Norwich 2-1.

9 minutes to go in second.

Norwich ties it right back up.

Great pass by Rundlett to hit Fortier in stride at the Midd blueline. Sprung Fortier in on a breakaway and Fortier beat Bloom five-hole on the backhand. Add an assist to Wilks too.

2-2. 8 minutes to go in second.

Great period of action.

2-2 tie after 2.

Middlebury took a penalty at the end of the period.

Norwich will have 1:45 of PP time to start the third.

Shots are now 16-9 Norwich.

Sara Ugalde gets a goal called off with eight minutes to go.

Initial ruling was a goal but its waved off because the ref ruled a kicking motion was made after the puck bounced off her skate and into the back of the net off a crossing pass from Grace Waters.

Norwich dodges a bullet.

Middlebury has goal wiped out after ref saves Ugalde kicked it in.

a little over a minute later Melissa Rundlett scores off a feed from Renee Lortie to make it 3-2 Norwich.

6:55 left.

tough call on disallowed goal. Looking at replay Ugalde clearly checked from behind and no control. Puck definitely off skate, but not directed in. Tough break

too bad game has to be decided on a very questionable call, but that is par for the course in womens hockey. Norwich did play with more passion tonight. Both teams are strong teams and we will probably see both in the NCAA's.

NEC player squeezed the Amherst player into the boards behind the goal. Not a call I would expect to be called in OT, but it was there for the interpretation.
