End of 3 at Stafford. Bloom standing on her head, to be as completely cliche as possible. Still at 1-1. 29-20 Platty in shots. Moberg had an unbelievable chance in front earlier in the period, bloom flashed the glove. Best scoring chance in the third. Here goes nothing....

Hard fought game. Third time I've seen midd play this year and still trying to figure out a way that I can get across to people who go strictly on box score just how good this Midd team is.

Two comments for you. First, as to getting across how good Midd is, just send a message to nbound and gojackets, and the word will spread.

Second, the WIRY audio only call was ten times better than most of the video presentations I have seen. If this is all PSU has to offer, I'm OK with it.

Ditto...these guys are excellent. They are very objective and called it like it was happening (I think...as I wasn't there). They don't give the play-by-play like your typical home town announcers...very enjoyable.

Their straight up calls were excellent, I agree. But what impressed me most was that they were calling Midd player names flawlessly in real time, and Midd does not have names on their jerseys. This shows me some serious pregame preparation.

Middlebury still hasn't beaten anybody good, right?

Just kidding. I heard the radio webcast, and it was clear Midd. was back and forth w Plattsburgh.

Seems Plattsburgh started stronger, controlled the first half period, then Midd. took over and controlled through the end of the 2nd. 3rd seemed back and forth with an edge to Platt.

That said, Midd. probably needed the win to help themselves, and didn't make the plays on the road...

Midd played a hanger high for a bit, and it rattled one linesman so much that he actually coached the Plattsburgh D: "Hey, #2 - you got a hanger" I guess the home team gets extra consideration...:eek:

Seriously? The linesman was coaching our defense? And how do you know that? I was at the game and I thought Plattsburgh's goaltender banging her stick on the ice was the clue that a Middlebury player was hanging at Plattsburgh's blue line...

Midd hanging out at the Platt blueline is what has me confused from that game. Didn't see them do that earlier this season. All that tells me is the coach doesn't have enough confidence his team can get the puck out when two opposing D are on the blue line.

While that is an accurate comment, watching these two teams play a great and hard fought game was a treat last night. Two excellent teams going toe to toe with excellent goaltending at both ends. Now comparing this game to watching the Bowdoin / Lake Forest game it appears these two teams are a step above at this point.

Middlebury does probably need to win NESCAC to get in, but what they have to deal with, that hardly any other teams do is they have a target on their back, due to their successes over the years. They are like the Yankees....you either love them or hate them. Obviously gojackets and nbound are the captain of the hate Middlebury team, but I guess I am not telling you anything that is so abundantly apparent.

Nevertheless, what great hockey last night, it was a treat to make the 90 minute trek to see these two teams battle it out. Congrats to both teams!!

And howdoya think #2 feels this morning? At least he didn't say something like "Keep your head on a swivel!"
