I would have to disagree with you. UW River Falls I though gave GAC fits trying to break out of their own end. RF is very well coached and always comes ready to play. Very exciting game, enjoyable to watch. Till they meet again!!!

To each there own opinion, but from where I sat the team struggled. Also from the appearance of coach cranston's timeout talk he was also not excited with the way they were playing in the final two periods. Although I do have to give our team this, we did get 25 shots on net which is 14 more then GAC averages allowing. On the other hand many of these were very week shots, which we all know can go in with the right bounce but still didn't happen even with that not quite up to par playing surface.

Amherst scores on powerplay when Lloyd rips long slap shot from left point deflected by Clegg beating Bloom high gloveside...second goal came as Amherst turned up the forecheck and Curry and Evans worked in back of the net with Evans getting a pass from behind the net to Fisher who had lots of net to shot into stickside...Murphy made a nice stuff when Ireland picked up a puck in the neutral zone and broke in alone, deked and tired for the stickside post...Bloom returned the favor with a left pad save on a drive from the right point by Lloyd...Amherst has carried play for the period, adjusting their breakout and forechecking hard, keeping Midd bottled up in their zone. Lots of action.
