D1 Scores and Highlights

Re: D1 Scores and Highlights

They are sure putting the hammer down as the game goes on. Shot line is as follows:

Period one, 10 - 8 for BU,
Period two, 12 - 5 for Cornell
Period three, 8 - 0 for Cornell halfway through

Edit check that....9-1 for Cornell and 3 goals to make it 8-4.

Looks like RJ is having a monster game. Too Bad she did not get nominated as one of the top three in the Kaz award. This is now the second monster game in the playoffs for her.

OK. Who the heck is this game tracker operator ?????. Now the score is changed from 8-4 to 7-6   and the shot count adjusted from 9-1 to 8-3 more  ......check that, shotcount now updated to 10-3.....Grrrr.....

Re: D1 Scores and Highlights

This game has already crushed the record for goals in the NCAA women's tournament -- previous record is nine (achieved several times). Also no team has ever scored 8. Now that it's 7-7, that one is going to have to fall.

I think the national championship record is 11 though, from the 1999 Harvard-UNH championship game (6-5 Harvard in OT).

Re: D1 Scores and Highlights

Tied at seven. These officials are killing me with the penalties they're calling against Cornell in the 3rd.

Including earlier today in the BC-SLU contest !!

Actually the records will not fall. It will only be equalled. :D

Edit: OOOOPs...Record will indeed fall. Thanks to Master Dave for setting me straight. :o

Four PP goals to move the score from 6-4 to 7-7. Combined the teams were 4/5 on the PP in the third, and overall, BU 3/6 and Cornell 2/6 for the game.

Hopefully they let the teams decide it in the OT.

Re: D1 Scores and Highlights

So... this game is going to last until the end of the universe? :p

Oops....I read that wrong.....interpreted it too quickly as 8 being the existing highwater mark.... :o :o ...So much for me complaining about a game tracker operater. ;)

And just when I utter those words, the Game tracker scoreline is changed from 7-7 End of third to 7-6 with 9:12 remaining.

7:59 left in first OT. Still going. Shots 8-5 for BU. If this game goes on, a deeper bench could help. Having said thatn several current Big Red players are familiar with an extended OT from a few years back.

That's much further into OT than I thought we'd get. Thanks for the update.

Re: D1 Scores and Highlights

Shots now 9 each in the first period of OT. 5:37 left on the clock.
