UMD 1 - SCSU 0 after one. Steck in net for UMD...play by play guy is showering praise on her for her play. SCSU was up 7-1 in shots early on. Great action in both creases. Extremly exciting game...just carrying on from last night...end to end again...Can't believe this is SCSU...good for them. Too bad VanDenakker isn't in goal at the other end.

Wong, shorthanded goal just before the period ended.

Kudos to SCSU for their interviews with players and coaches etc...a small school like that...just wondering if this is a new component part in raising their profile in an attempt improve recruiting results. I'm impressed with the effort...the quality will follow.

Canoe tipper in St. Cloud. 2-1 UMD final.

With Friend pulled UMD dumps the puck from the boards and it slides straight toward the middle of the empty SCSU goal...an SCSU forward tries to stop it before it goes in, miscues as she skates past leaving the puck to go off her stick hitting the inner half of the front half of the post coming to rest a few inches out into the crease. No shortage of excitment in this one.

Steck and Friend were excellent in goal and the skaters poured it on for 60 minutes. I think these are, by far, the two most exciting games that UMD has been involved in this season. Who woulda thunk?

It will be intersting to see how Friend improves over the next 3 years.

Could this be a harbinger of things to come from SCSU? Did I mention that I was impressed? I'm impressed!

Play by play guy is tremendous...huge value added to an already captivating game. Kudos again to SCSU for their broadcast efforts...and bonus features. Some other programs should take note.

Yikes! Cornell behind Clarkson 3-4 with about 4 min. left (per live stats). Dartmouth overpowers Yale 6-0, shots 52-28.
