UND wins shootout 2-1. Both Lams score, only Knight for Wisco' in a 4-round shootout.

Re: D1 Scores and Highlights

No score at the 'Heights between BC and Northeastern at the end of one. Shots at 12 to 10 in BC's favor. Good end to end action, with BC holding the slight advantage in play.

At the end of two it is Northeastern 1 BC 0 on a Povova tally. Shots 24-25 in favor of BC. Northeastern killed off a 5 on 3 late in the period.

Re: D1 Scores and Highlights

Definitely not Cornell's best effort.

Yes, I agree. There were some positives though -- girls worked very hard to come back from the deficits. Syracuse applied a lot of pressure early, but the Big Red's stamina clearly prevailed in the 3rd as compared to the Orange (in my opinion). These are all good tests for the girls, and I like to see them coming out on top. Hopefully the strong efforts will continue this weekend in Harvard and Dartmouth. 6-0 in 2012.

Last year Cornell tailed off near the end of the season, while two years ago they peaked at the end, while the then dominant Clarkson team tailed off and lost to Cornell in the ECAC final.

It will be interesting to see how they respond this weekend. My guess is that the travel to Europe by a good chunk of the players, played a factor. They may also have been looking forward to the next weekend. Bottom line is that if they win both games this weekend, they pretty much sow up first place in the ECAC regular season. If I were the coach, I might at that point give the studs a bit of a break to recoup for the stretch run. The key games they need to win down the stretch are those in the RPI and PWR equation vs other high ranked teams, Harvard, Dartmouth and MC.

Re: D1 Scores and Highlights

Darty closes out the night with an overtime win against Colgate. Didn't know for sure how it was going to pan out. Big weekend for the Big Green - the Pioneers of Womens Ice Hockey festivities is slated for tomorrow evening, albeit after the Cornell match up.

Re: D1 Scores and Highlights

Ohio State defeated Minnesota State earlier tonight 3-1. Goals were scored by Tina Hollowell, Ally Tarr, and Laura McIntosh.
