8-2 for UW. Little salt in the wound. Have to say the wheels (all four) came off for the Sioux today.

Would love to have a transcript of any of the trash-talking that may have been going on with Wisconsin and North Dakota. I'm sure Coach Johnson wasn't thrilled with Brooke taking a 10 minute misconduct, but if it was for pointing at the scoreboard after being on the receiving end of some physical play, well it's not the worst thing in the world.

Buckeyes settle for a split at Bemidji after dropping today's game 4-2. Natalie Spooner and Hokey Langan scored for the Buckeyes. Langan's goal late in the game cut the deficit to 3-2, then Bemidji State scored an empty net goal for the 4-2 final score. The Buckeyes will be at home next weekend to face Minnesota State.

Normally I wouldn't bother mentioning it, but SCSU beat MSU today 3-1 to earn a sweep on the weekend. Its been a long time since SCSU has been able to do such a feat. On top of that, this gives the Huskies a 3 game WINNING streak. Nice to see SCSU putting together some wins after last years 1 win season. Still will probably finish dead last in the conference but nice to see the girls finally getting some wins.

Don't know that the Huskies will finish last. After this weekend, they they are a game up on the Mavericks, and they own the H2H tiebreaker. The teams face similar opponents from here on, with SCSU having a Bemidji series remaining, while MSU still has Ohio State. All still have the league's top 4 teams -- UW, UM, UMD, UND -- but SCSU has 4 home series left, while MSU only has 2. The odds might be in favor of the Huskies to avoid having to make a long bus trip to Madison to open the WCHA playoffs.

Decker just got booted at the end of the first period with a CFB. UW up 1-0 on an early goal by Prevost.

Maine is tied 1-1 at BU early in the second. Holze at 4:17 for the Terriers, answered by Croussette of the Black Bears about 7 minutes later. A total of 20 minutes of penalties so far.

Maine goes up 2-1 on BU with a late 2nd PP goal by More.

PC leads Northeastern 1-0 in the first on a goal by Vella.
