They still have Slebodnick, and she has proven to be capable. When Mazotta was hurt last year she had a pretty good run of her own. They also have a freshman tender with good credentials.

I haven't heard anything on the goalie side of recruiting for Cornell. I have been wondering the same thing. As OnMAA suggested, Cornell might be waiting to bring someone in the following year.
Cornell has at least one more forward recruit that has yet to be posted here.

OH MY OH MY....I can't believe 10th graders are early commits now! I know she's a '95, but WOW, so early to know where you want to goto college in 2.5 years and spend 4 years there (Just my .02). I know my daughter changed her mind several times about her "top choice" and LOVES where she is playing and studying, but if you asked her in 10th grade, it was a different school.

But, wow I am just shocked that these colleges are commiting to girls SO early! I hope the girls end up with a great experience, it's just so young to me!

It seems unlikely that any Ivy League coach could sponsor her (age 15) to admissions. She likely hasn't tested and they wouldn't know if she would meet the index. We've been through this a few times and they have never been willing to commit a roster spot without at least a first round of testing complete. Maybe the Ivies are changing tactics. I know it becomes difficult for the non-scholarship schools to compete with scholarship schools committing to players in their junior year. I do agree with the earlier poster in that many players that are top tier and have several offers do seem to end up somewhere else than they originally thought. Once they take visits and realize there is more out there than what they are familiar with it opens their eyes and options.

In hindsight, my initial quote was a bit misleading. NCAA D2 membership voted to drastically overhaul their recruiting by basically backing up the timeline by an entire year...so I have to believe that D1 won't be far behind..but as far as I know they haven't taken the leap...yet. And when it happens...I think we will see more kids committing earlier and earlier because the schools are going to have access to these players even earlier than they already do.
Essentially the purpose of the rule changes is two-fold...1) to ease the administrative/enforcement burden on compliance offices because calls will now be unlimited instead of restricted to once per week and 2) to bring the college process for athletes more in line with the college process for regular students which generally starts after their sophomore year. By allowing athletic programs to begin having contact with players the summer before their Jr year it brings these two things more in line with each other.
If and when this all happens, I think this is going to continue to provide an enormous advantage to the top programs who are able to focus on a narrow pool of recruits from year to year and can spend more time on the phone developing relationships with the kids heading into Grade 11..as opposed to the programs that are struggling and have to cast a much wider net from year to year to try and get players into their programs.

Maybe this benefits compliance, but I don't see how it benefits the student athletes. Under the current rules, if they want to have more contact with the schools, then the students can initiate the contact. Now the top kids will just be besieged by more calls earlier. There were reasons that these rules were in place to begin with, and it was to benefit the kids, not compliance. The problem with rules is that the wrong people have power to change them.

I would hate to be a top end recruit or someone in their immediate family...because as you said...they are going to get bombarded.
