Covid 2023

An elitist douche bag, or did you just play one on TV? Cant afford private schools? Says whom? "People" like Chuck and I dont come on here and joust in the Cafe because we are worried about our next meals. I wont speak for others, but affordability of private schools wasnt the reason for not sending my kids there. Having gone to one myself, I saw it for what it was worth from the inside.

When does your subscription to Pompous P r!ck magazine run out??

Private schools anyone?

I'll be getting this as well as my RSV this year. No need to tempt fate with asthma. COVID sucked *** when I had it in February. Amazingly, it wasn't the breathing that sucked just the, high fever, horrible malaise, and axe through my head.

Maybe this round of jab will work better so you don’t have to experience…

“it wasn't the breathing that sucked just the, high fever, horrible malaise, and axe through my head.”

After who knows how many shots?

Cambridge-based Moderna, Inc. announced Wednesday that its updated COVID-19 vaccine, is effective against a new variant that has raised fears about the resurgence of infections.

The vaccine, which is pending approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the fall 2023 vaccination season, generates an 8.7-fold increase in neutralizing antibodies in humans against BA.2.86, a variant under monitoring, the company said.

lmfao, Moderna the company that has one commercial product, a Covid vaccine.

Neat the company produced their own results in a lab. I’m sure they are real reliable and applicable to the real world.

Got the RSV Saturday. At my age and a few underlying health conditions I'd get the Covid shot every fkn week if needed. My daughter didn't get Covid the vax. I was a little disappointed but didn't nag her or threaten to cut her out of the will.

Yeah, I'm glad Moderna is getting close to approval. I definitely plan to get the booster/flu/RSV cocktail. Flu and covid are likely required for my job (both have been but I haven't heard one way or the other this fall), and RSV just sounds positively miserable and why chance it.

Any inside info about Pfizer? Or is the mixing of the two also more effective? We've got 3 and 1 so far. And I'm pretty confident we both had COVID earlier this year, but it was nice and mild. If we can keep living out and about like we do, that would be pretty great.

Really? Do you also kick cripples crutches out from under them? What kind of person are you to say something like that about someone who's life was devastated by illness?

My apologies, I thought it was OK to treat your health in a flippant manner:

and I want to add that I am not a young man and am in the "at risk" age group and as such I resent at my age others making decisions for me. If I want to attend a sporting event at a "possible" risk to my health that's my business.

You sound like a Moderna wet dream, getting every shot and even willing to take more. So sorry to hear about your daughter. Assuming that because she didnt get the vax that things didnt end well. If only she received her 8th booster, she would still need to be in the will.

I don't have inside info on any of them. As far as I'm aware, mix n match is still fine, if not encouraged.

I especially love "you can't make decisions for me" from the people that then go and spread the communicable disease, making those same decisions for others. Not to mention their endless quest to stop women or trans people from making their own decisions.

Pfizer update looking promising: https://www.reuters.com/business/he...rong-reaction-vs-new-variant-mice-2023-09-06/

NEW YORK, Sept 6 (Reuters) - Pfizer (PFE.N) on Wednesday said the updated Pfizer-BioNTech (22UAy.DE) COVID-19 vaccine expected to be used this fall elicited a strong antibody response against the highly mutated BA.2.86 subvariant of the coronavirus in a preclinical study in mice.

Doctors told me that I should wash my myself regularly - showering every couple days at least, washing my hands after using the bathroom or handling uncooked meats and so on. All of that made me realize that showers and hand washing all require soap, shampoo, toothpaste and water. That means doctors are in league with both Big Clean and Big Water! I’ll have to truck with a Big Anything, so I’m done with washing things and drinking water for anything made with it.

See you when the ice hockey season starts, suckers!
