No, they made the decision to cancel spectators because it’s already here. It has nothing to do with people from all over the globe coming.

I respectfully disagree. I live here in Columbus and a short drive away from the event area and we see all the firsthand media releases and the statements by the Governor about it. It was big news here and had a lot of local coverage and interviews.
I'm only repeating what was said by the local media.

Yeah, well, your governor is full of ****. We’re cancelling events because gatherings of 1,000 or more people are a really bad idea when a virus is spreading through the US population. It has literally nothing to do with people flying in from all over the world.

Disclaimer because some people are morons: Obviously the virus outbreak is more important than hockey. Hockey is just a game. People are losing lives. I understand.

But, if this trend continues into conference championship weekend and the regionals...really putting a damper on my favorite time of year.

I may have to call a close friend tonight out of curiosity.
He's a career medical specialist and has been at OSU's medical center for 30 years.
He'll tell me if there's any difference between what is officially put out there information wise and what's unofficial.

Yes do that and report back to us will ya. I have a strong feeling the media knowingly overhyped this whole thing to provide an alibi to take the stock market down and they succeeded.

Yeah, Italy and China are shut down because of the liberal media.
 
actually, most Chinese production is back on line. They don’t dwell on it or CYA like we do.

Meanwhile, 500 people did actually DIE because of all things - tuberculosis ! in the nation called the United States.

oh well, I’m done with this.

Agreed. Especially with Cornell looking reaaaal good this year. But I'd rather side with caution and do what we can to lessen community spread.

China’s basically a third world country for all practical purposes and Italians cant follow directions so there you have it. It’ a flu without a vaccine is all it is. Use some common sense
