In the case of the deaths, the curve is Gaussian but not Normal, because it is a frequency distribution, not a probability function. The people saying "Gaussian" are correct.

I cannot imagine any set of circumstances in which 2 or more humans are left alive in which prostitution is no longer a viable profession.

With 3, body guard.

With 4, lawyer (2 min).

Blue collar, health care. For sure. The obvious public protection (police, fire, etc).

Good job, Chicago! Somebody understands that the faster and harder you attack this, the faster people can get back to work. Unlike many in other Great Lake states. It sucks when people who want this to end are the same ones who are going to make it last longer because they refuse to understand logic.

We camp but have a pop up...was wondering if they would only allow self contained / RV types? Bet Maine wont be far behind? Am getting emails from the places we normally go up there..

So you are aware, if you really want to go out.... Governor Whitmer told the story of a recovered COVID19 patient who dumpy wanted to talk to and highlight for some reason- this person could only think of a situation where he got the virus from a gas pump. Pretty funny that a dumpy focus person points out that being super careful and isolating is needed.

If you want to get out- be super careful for you and everyone else.

We are really seeing how the skyrocketing aggregate of stupidity in this society is affecting us all. We are a much dumber country now than we were 2 or 3 generations ago. Were we at the same level of intelligence now as we were then, we may just have weathered this thing like it WAS a mild flu season, because most of the country would have been doing what we needed to do on February 10th instead of April 1st. And many more of us would have been heeding the warnings of the health care professionals who KNOW what they are talking about. And as a consequence, we would have seen thousands of fewer deaths, AND we would be getting back to normal a lot sooner. Hunkering down in February and March is a lot less of a stretch for most people than hunkering down still in May and June.

Every single MAGA idiot in Lansing yesterday just showed how their "protest" was NOT about the shelter-in-place order.

Pennsylvania legislature passes bill to modify/override portions of their Governor's stay at home order.

And, last I checked, the GOP still controls the Senate and Representatives in Michigan's Legislature. Meaning all these GOP reps had to do was hammer out a couple quick bills and jam them through to force Whitmer to sign them.

Nope.

This wasn't about "an overreach by Whitmer," this was misogynist hatred because the Governor dared to stand up against their dear Leader.

Also, given that it's a poorly-kept secret that she's under consideration to be Biden's running mate, I've been seeing the botskis and trolls playing the "stop auditioning for a bigger job" card.
