Re: Covfefe-19: We Can Handle Slight Inconveniences. Part 8.

Just saw the story that Trump advocated injecting disinfectant products.

1. LMAO
2. I hope his voters heed the advice

Re: Covfefe-19: We Can Handle Slight Inconveniences. Part 8.

Some #MAGAs even before Trump's walk back were claiming, "No one would be stupid enough to blah, blah, blah" just because of something Trump said and if they did they were probably a Democrat. I asked if they were familiar with the man from OH that refused to isolate because Covid is a hoax and then died from it, and if they were sure he was a D? Nothing but crickets since.

Obviously arranged. Ironic they think this is good press for them. I guess it is among the right wing radio morons. But for the rest of us this just demonstrates they are jackwagons.

I'm not sure which is the saddest disclaimer for the period we are currently living in.

That Maryland had to post a warning against doing so

or

that more than 100 people called and asked them if it was ok.

The saddest part is that anybody did anything about it. Talk about leave it to work itself out.

Cant wait

“ BREAKING: Georgia reported 635 new coronavirus cases and 20 more deaths in a 24-hour period ending at noon on Friday, the same day GOP Gov. Brian Kemp is letting some businesses like barbershops and nail salons reopen.”

YOu know how you know you need to fire everyone and start over?

We have an early leader for correction of the millennium.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-conversation="none"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">We've deleted an earlier tweet and updated a sentence in our article that implied that only "some experts" view the ingestion of household disinfectants as dangerous. To be clear, there is no debate on the danger.</p>— The New York Times (@nytimes) <a href="https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/1253719616603541504?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 24, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Yeah, that.

Good thing we are almost out of the woods...cause otherwise today's numbers would be disheartening.

37k new cases. 1858 dead.

NY rebounding like pros with over 8k new cases. (only 422 deaths so...yay!?)
Mass with just under 5k new cases. (196 deaths)
Pennsylvania coming on STRONG with 3100 new cases. (51 deaths)
Illinois with a very solid 2700 new cases. (107 deaths...all ready to vote though so no worries there)
Jersey crosses the 100k barrier (and the 101 and 102k barrier!) with 2171 new cases. (189 deaths)
California staying the course with 1500 new cases. (71 deaths)
Michigan with a respectable 1350 cases. (108 dead)

And let me just say a special shoutout to Colorado with 994 new cases and 122 dead. Came out of nowhere with that one. Florida not far behind with 885 (59 deaths) but with the beaches opening they are playing the long game now. And watch out for Texas as they make a solid move with 777 new cases (25 deaths) but they are also planning their re-opening. Connecticut with 820 cases (125 deaths) also deserves a little recognition.

But hey...things are getting better...the numbers are slowing. I mean sure the math doesnt add up to that outside of say NY (even there it doesnt really add up) and we are losing 2k people each day but hey...we should feel great! #openbackup

CO had something weird with the testing (cleared backlog?), had been going ~1,500/day and today spiked over 5k. The deaths they said they would be adding ~130 previously not included, but then I'd expect the total over 130 so not sure if that's it or not.

Re: Covfefe-19: We Can Handle Slight Inconveniences. Part 8.

I'm pretty sure way more people have it, but we don't know, because they haven't been tested. Therefore, the numbers WILL swell. It does not NECESSARILY (key word) mean the virus is spreading that quickly. It might have ALREADY (key word) spread that quickly, and now in reality it is slowing down. Again, pay attention to the key words.

Re: Covfefe-19: We Can Handle Slight Inconveniences. Part 8.

“ Democratic San Francisco Mayor London Breed says the city's orders of crucial personal protection equipment are being confiscated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency after going through customs, and the equipment has been sent to other cities and even other countries.

"We had isolation gowns on their way to San Francisco and they were diverted to France. We’ve had situations when things we’ve ordered that have gone through Customs were confiscated by FEMA to be diverted to other locations," she said. "It blows my mind."

Re: Covfefe-19: We Can Handle Slight Inconveniences. Part 8.

I'm kinda surprised at how well Alaska is doing in comparison to other states, Though Hawaii is kicking our a-- in comparison.

I honestly wonder how much of a factor it is for both of us to effectively cut ourselves off from the rest of the country.
For Hawaii that's HUGE, considering it's a group of islands, and with air travel the way it is...
