Exactly what this map is. I guarantee a wealth plot mirrors this map exactly.

Poor people die younger. Wealthy Native Americans, Hispanics, and Black people are doing just fine.

To an extent, yes. I still think the evidence would show wealthy people of color still don't live as long as wealthy white people - hell, maybe even working poor whites. Won't even try to imagine the level of stress that comes with being a person of color, even rich ones.

Yes, that is true. Within each category of wealth, Whites live longer than Hispanics who live longer than Blacks, directly in proportion to how persecution increases. Even the wealthiest minority knows authorities and derps will harass him. Even the poorest white never has to factor systemic racism into his day.

The stress Non-whites have comes from being targeted by whites. The stress Whites have comes from their own inadequacy and poor decisions.

I continually see posts on twitter and posts link to reports on twitter where the premise is "the pandemic never happened" and "the term novel virus is unknown to us".

I really wish this country would wake up and be facts based again.

MA is formally ending the Public Health Emergency as of late next week. This will, among other things, lift the mask requirement for hospitals and leave it up to them.

Looking at a preview of my company's new guidance, it all seems reasonable. This is the right time.

It’s worse than that, right now “fact based” means whatever information supports your opinion.

But in the end, the biggest losers will be the ones who buy the lies as facts.

I'm not so sure. We're all in the same lifeboat (Earth) and I think the buyers are taking us down with the ship.

Yea, I guess that's valid- but in areas where personal responsibility works to protect yourself based on information, it applies. Like for this specific thread.

Covid ripping its way through the pro peloton at the Giro d'Italia. Something like 20 riders out of the race so far, including the leader at the time. Sure, it's not serious illness, but still not allowed to race after testing positive.

But I thought we were all done with the COVID.

How... inconvenient reality is

Managed to make it over three years without getting it. My streak ended this morning. Positive. Ugh. On a home test. I am going to go to a CVS minute clinic for a PCR test. Double masked, to be safe. At the moment it feels like a pretty mild case, just like a cold, which I have not had in 3 1/2 years. Going back to bed to rest. After a little Pedialyte.

Good luck. Hopefully with all the vaccinations you will be fine.

If you are worried, paxlovid is effective. But for us, it may have helped the worst symptoms and getting bad, but we both had a rebound. Took about a month to be back at 100%.

If a home test kit says you're positive, you can be certain you're actually positive. The specificity is extremely high for the antigen tests.
