CNBC had Pfizer CEO on a few minutes ago. Its 90%+ effective.

Also said the underlying way this vaccine was designed allows it to quickly adapt to mutations when those mutations are discovered.

Very good news as long as their trials continue to show success. This has been a very good week.

This is good news. Praying this is safe and available as soon as possible.

A few people on CNBC, including Pfizer's CEO cautioned the public about being too optimistic. There is still a window where Covid can run unchecked before the vaccine can be distributed in numbers to actually help. The estimate is looking to be a six month window of masking up, social distancing, and continued recommended efforts before the vaccine is widely available.

Also, the CEO said that they face an uphill climb in distribution in the US, because anywhere from 1/3 to 2/3 of polled Americans (depending on which study) refuse to take a vaccine.

I wonder if Dump tried to strongarm them. This one-two punch seems like a clear GFY.

The CEO reiterated a few times that the election did NOT weigh in their decision to drop the news Sunday night/early AM today.

But I was listening on radio, so I couldn't hear him wink.

It also says it's effective in patients that have no prior evidence of Covid. By then, that will rule out the rest of America.

That's good. Really good. Fingers crossed.

Well, it’s actually a bit more qualified than I made it out to be. 94 symptomatic cases. That was an interesting way to phrase it. Also the study hasn’t released data on people with pre-existing conditions.

They’re still analyzing data. Cautious optimism is warranted.

Biden task force named. It includes doctors, like dr osterholm.

dr birx, you’re fired

Was hoping Maine would stay low in active cases but looks to be exploding like rest of country. I've got jobs going all over and are considered essential so I keep going but not liking it one bit. I was in an office a few days ago working, seemed pretty lax in mask department. People are burned out for sure and that ain't helping.

There is currently an outbreak going through restaurant workers in Bar Harbor. 8 of my local restaurants just shut down, which is a significant percentage of the ones still open. Lots of restaurants have H2-B visa workers in the back of the house, many of them have live in crowded housing with other restaurant workers. We made it through the whole summer without an outbreak (there was a testing program for hospitality workers), it's definitely getting out of control everywhere now.

Ben Carson tests positive for the 'Rona.

Was at the WH election night party which Mark Meadows also attended. The Mark Meadows who was sick and everyone was told to keep quiet about it, while he went about his daily activities.

The superspreader events just keep on coming.
