No, because they didn't want to kill the brain cells. They want to be aware when people are dying around them?

Maybe they are going the Brazil route- if enough people die then it culls the herd and we won't have to worry about all those people drawing on Social Security?

Actually we don't care about either. Small businesses and people are dying everywhere across the United States and the Republicans only gave a shit about super spreader parties and more Judges.

It’s why I care less about small businesses- so many of them vote for Rs and dig their own grave.

I’ll support ones I know have owners who are based on planet earth

Yeah but when the owners get sick they set up GoFundMe pages and the local news cover it like it is a tragedy. Like the jerkoff in WI who let his partner hold a rally for I believe one of the Trump Spawn and then had to be put on a respirator because no one followed WI rules.

Of course there is also the pastor in Idaho who needs an oxygen mask to breathe now but still has big meetings at his church and does not require masks so some people are just begging to die.

"The Million Maga March" this weekend will be the ultimate super spreader. Every liberal should stay away 1) because they want violence and 2) there will be thousands of Typhoid Marys.

Yeah. There are extremes everywhere. I do agree most of them vote Republican. They've reaped what they've sewn. I still feel bad for the good ones.
 
So Hockey Least announced the season will start 11/20. This seems like a good idea to move forward at this time. Every state has quarantine rules in place. Every state is on the uptick. VT just shut down again. The States are begging people to stay home, not to gather, keep it below 10 people, don't be around anyone except who lives in your house. But, lets make sure to exempt all those people who think a game is important. Let's get the 30+ players and staff from 2 teams, support staff, rink workers all in one place from different areas. No problem you put them and all their families and loved ones at risk. People who have no choice because , you know, a game is so much more important than all those people trying to be safe.

No strong feelings here.

Edit- forgot the bus drivers- they also get trapped in an enclosed area for a few hours.

At another site I visit there are posters that lost their mind when Walz imposed any lockdowns back in (April?) and now are arguing he should do either absolutely nothing or lock it down 100%. Many of whom would argue with a straight face that mask usage has made the spread worse. ycmio

He said he won’t lock down when all our neighboring states won’t bother. He is probably right- he’ll get death threats and all the idiots around us just drive up case counts anyway

Well, they being anyone who is so blessed to be acquainted with the program. I am beside myself. Really struggling with the fact that the people who know the science are complicit in letting this happen. No excuse. They can't play if the medicals won't cover them but none of them have enough balls to say no

Seems like an insane reason to not do something. People listen. Once the mask mandate went up, everyone started wearing one. Regardless of other states.

These things matter.

Except they didn’t. My covid case came from a sturgis person who proudly refused masks in their business
 
So the CFR seems to be holding steady around 1.3-1.5%, if my math is correct. With no national appetite for further restrictions (which is positively insane to me, but I've accepted that), we're likely to be pushing 200,000 cases per day for a while now. Perhaps more?

Unfortunately, R0 in winter is closer to 2 than it is to 1 that we see in the summer, so other than the states that have brains, I don't see this issue subsiding before Spring and mass vaccinations.

It stinks. We failed. The morons won, and ultimately the loss of life will be horrifying in the modern age.

We're getting 9/11 every 2-3 days now again, and the response from the right is "meh". Pro-life indeed.
