More to be proud of, since New York was not able to- Florida passed South Korea in one day. So Korea's total number is 13.4k, and Florida passed that number in one day. Good job. Seeing that the adjusted death numbers for a couple of days ago creep over 60, it's possible that Florida will kill more people in one day than S Korea will for the entire pandemic.

Lest we forget, S Korea's first case was the same day as the US's first case, which was on the direct opposite side of the country from Florida. ALL of this could have been prevented.

Univer$al is open, too.

And after a week of nightmare headlines about Florida, and about 70,000 new cases (aka positive tests), hospitals have a grand total of 130 more patients (~2.5%) in ICU beds statewide than last Sunday. Can’t make it up. 45 deaths today, in a state with 20 million people.

Christ. You've been told time and time again. Follow with me, I'll type slow so you can understand.

Hospitalizations lag behind case numbers by 2-3 weeks.

Deaths lag behind hospitalizations by another 2-3 weeks.

You will be seeing the effects of this past weeks increased numbers of cases in a couple weeks.

Get back to us then with your latest BS meant to minimize the virus.

You’ve have been saying wait two weeks for going on two months.

And you still haven't managed to grasp it.

Case counts, hospitalizations, and deaths have kept on rising.

Those hospitalization numbers your 'sources' provided you are from case numbers from two weeks ago. When they were 1/3 the number they currently are.

Two weeks from now, instead of your 130 new patients, there will be 300+. And two weeks after that?

Oh maybe we have to wait 2-3 months?

Florida Daily Cases vs. Daily Deaths Updated through July 10 (reported July 11). 7-day moving averages. Daily deaths offset 14, 21 and 28 days. Daily cases up to 8,800. What distribution is it following? Not Gompertz. Daily deaths trending up slightly. Stop the Panic.

Masks. Decades of research against healthy people wearing them. Roles into February/March, all the experts, No Go on masks.

Then poof, just like that, gone.

There’s some revisionist history being written so to clarify: There was ZERO consensus in Feb/March that masks worked against coronavirus. Insofar as there was agreement it was that they DIDN’T work & SHOULDN’T be worn. Don’t remember? Well the internet is forever.

Does that reality in Sweden indicate that the Swedish government backed away from their initial plans to just let everyone get infected after a couple weeks when people were getting sick and dying by the boatload?

Oh, you mean stats change when the underlying assumptions those stats are based on change also? Who knew?

Goddam you are thick.

Then again it takes thick to name yourself after the Harford Whalers and a Bush brother.

are ones that were based on the best available data at the time and were widely echoed by Trump, other members of the task force and senior White House officials. As Surgeon General Jerome Adams told CBS News on Sunday, "When you learn more, you change those recommendations. Our recommendations have changed.”

It's interesting that a few of you continue to ague with that moron. And eyeball can look at the data and see the trends are bad. Deaths are trending up in Florida, cases are way up in Florida, etc etc- just look at THEIR data- not some one else interpretation of their data.

Then again, please, please, please go hang out more with people that think this is a hoax, PLEASE. Got to dumpy rallies, and chant to your heart's content to own the libs. You show us. I fully encourage it. Spread the word and the virus at the same time!!!

Get out there and yell.

100%

Indeed, at this point some “people are wanting Covid to be a doomsday scenario to justify their irrational fear.”

It amazes me that there are people that are no doubt rooting for bad news. They would actually be upset if there was positive news out of TX, AZ or FL. You almost have to be sick.
