With the P12 going conference only, AZ and CA are getting taken care off in terms of the breakout states.

But it's interesting that the B12, SEC, and ACC- who have the majority of the top 10 states are waiting- as if there's going to be some miracle by the end of this month. I'd like to know what part of the health dept data they are looking at.
 
Stupid people think they're scoring some kind of 'gotcha' point by noting that deaths may have occurred on a different day than when they got officially reported.

Does that mean they're less dead?

I don't get the point. What stupid people are claiming is that during those weeks when they thought they were also scoring points in some sort of game by loudly proclaiming that 'deaths are going down!!! Suck that libs!!!' was because deaths weren't being recorded.

And now they are. Same number of people still dead. Stupid people should realize that people dying isn't some sort of game to 'own the libs'

Why does accurately sharing statistics bother you?

Why do statistics elicit politics from you?

If say, “800 new deaths today 7/10“ is really for example “200 new deaths on 7/10 and 600 reclassified deaths from previous dates.” What is the issue reporting that accurately?

In regards to your comment about previous deaths NOW being “officially reported.” They were reported, by the CDC themselves. Then in current time they get changed to “Probable Covid” and the media reports the data dump as “New Covid Deaths” the day they report.

Today isnt looking like it will be much better...Flo(R)ida already reported over 10k cases and 95 deaths. Di$ney still opened though...

As far as 40% of Americans are concerned it is over. They simply don't believe people are dying in the numbers that have been reported. Of course they also don't believe millions of Jews were murdered by the Nazis during World War 2. Which makes sense because now if you don't believe in the numbers of people dying from coronavirus or don't wear a mask, you are a Nazi. This country would be better off if somehow we could do the same thing to our current Nazis as we did to the Nazis 75-80 years ago.

Florida from the 9th.

this is simply wrong. of those 120 deaths, only 8 were actually from 7/9. the rest were backfill to earlier dates. this is the real death on date chart for florida. (courtesy of

the CDC just dumped 4576 new deaths into the covid count. this makes current deaths look to be soaring if you just look at totals. BUT: only 3% of those deaths were even in July. this same issue affects the covid racking project and the worlometer data.

so backfill from the past gets mistaken for a spike in the present. it's a really bad way to present data if you're looking for trends. and ALL the US data is like this unless you find one of the rare sources that does real day of death (FL has one)

When you look at the data being adjusted, it's pretty obvious that the death rate isn't going down. It's going up. And it's been doing that for a couple of weeks now.

Stupid people think that means that the current daily rate is going down, ignoring the impact on the past data and the trends. And ignoring that today's actual deaths will be adjusted up for a couple of weeks.

Again, this is taken directly from Florida's Dept of Health site- not a news site. This is a health department run by an r administration. So if anything, it's low-balling the data (as they said they would be doing).

If someone hangs their point on the fact that data is going into past days, and that is somehow an indicator that the data is declining- they clearly don't understand what they are talking about.

Then again, they are also willing to let people die in a very preventable manner just so that someone else can make money. And then try to humiliate others for not believing them. Hard to believe someone who is obviously wrong.

BTW, the data last Tuesday is now 66. It started under 10. It's getting worse for Florida.

I got an idea that follows that trend: Let's stop giving breathalyzer tests. That will move crashes caused by drunk drivers to zero!

How about if you're killed in a motor vehicle accident, we check each fatality's BMI. Anyone who is obese was going to die of heart disease anyway, so it wasn't the crash that killed 'em!

You are afraid of statistics being reported accurately as well?

What’s doing to happen when a State has zero Covid deaths on a particular day, say on 8/1. But there is 5-6 months of previous data and say 50 deaths have been “reclassified as Covid Probable.”

“We have 50 new Covid Deaths today 8/1.” Good grief.
