I agree, that seems remarkably low... And ****ing terrifying.

Unless we're only intubating people who are extraordinarily sick. Meaning, too late for a vent to help. I thoguht I heard earlier in March that it was closer to 50:50.

UNH hockey lost its soul when it moved out of Snively. c.f. Clarkson, Walker. They are each forever cursed for taking a giant sh-t on their tradition.

Well actually at the Covid thread we arent talking about any of that stuff...but..ok. And no surprise here about Chuck and I've only known him 5 years lol..

Per worldmeter, the US was up to 1.38 cumulative NEUs as of yesterday, with 0.31 NEUs yesterday alone.

(NEU = Nine-Eleven Unit = 2,977 deaths)

But is that British Standard NEU or SI NEU?

For comparison, Cheney murdered between 50-100 NEU innocent civilians in Baghdad just during the shock and awe phase of GW2 alone. That's not counting the rest of the country during the war, or the occupation, or combatant deaths on both sides. Nor of course the deaths caused by the power vacuum, the Syrian Civil War, and the rise of ISIS.

If Dump wants to get up to those numbers (let's be conservative and say 1000 NEU) he's gonna really need a strong second quarter of botching the coronavirus reponse. He needs about 3M dead to make the GOP leaderboard.

I can't feel that sorry for things I never got a chance to see, but I am sad that Lively Snively was shuttered years before I was even interested in college hockey.

I saw my only UNH home game at Snively the year before they left. It was great -- kind of like the pre-renovated Gut but more ramshackle. It looked like it was thrown together overnight, like a high school gym on a shoestring budget got out of hand and grew to 10x its size.

Anyway, I loved it.

Full disclosure: I loathe every barn built after 1969. Fire codes? F-ck that.

You should look at statistics for surviving an in hospital cardiac or ventilatory arrest. Its not great.
