Someone, somewhere, is gonna have to pull the trigger, to test. It's going to happen. IF that person suffers, yes, I will feel bad. Horrible. But it's still going to happen at some point. It's not being macho. It's, a "well, here's the thing, we're gonna have to test this sooner or later..."

Yes, you read The Cold Equations as an adolescent and have been itching ever since to cosplay it.

Like I said, by all means. With the ones you love.

Read the what in the who now? BTW, might want to re-light the torches and make sure the nooses are good and tight. JFC.

JFC. We can start talking about strategies for opening things back up when we're demonstrably past the national peak, and probably not for a couple of weeks after that. Certainly not before.

And that's why I said start slow, and watch carefully. As for MN, it's been a couple weeks. Standard quarantine. Keep a very close eye, and adjust as necessary. Don't open the floodgates, but open here and there, and watch what happens.

A couple of weeks since what? We are demonstrably not past - or even to - the national peak, and won't be for some time. Even the 60K total death model (which I think makes faulty assumptions about distancing and has already factually underestimated a couple of states peaks already), say some states won't experience their peaks until the end of April. June is the earliest possible time we could start talking about opening stuff up, and I definitely wouldn't count on that either. That's frankly a best case scenario.
